We started out over 10 years ago in 2013 as Duck & Bear Ltd (a nod to the great names of traditional British pubs) determined to provide homes with a more unique style that stood out.

Since then we have been refining that unique style & elevating it to create a blend of industrial, vintage chic that comes out in the choice of fittings, finishes, and exposed structure.

Holly joined in 2022 bringing her architectural, construction & specialist heritage expertise with a view to leaning more into our design-led approach.

Our mission now is to continue delivering thoughtfully designed homes as well as consistently delivering returns for our investors.

We believe in homes being healthy as well as being stylish so we focus on creating stand-out homes through:

FOUNDER

Derek Caussin

Derek founded the business in 2019 after a background in FinTech & golf. His passion for antiques and heritage led him to look into designing and developing better quality, standout homes than what was available at the time.

Attention to detail is critical for him as these are the things that buyers and residents notice and also make the difference between a quality, well built home and a rushed one.

Holly Harrington

With an extensive background in residential architecture, heritage and Interior Architecture, Holly brings a wealth of understanding to the development, construction & style aspects of the business. From working on large urban redevelopment masterplans, to 5* boutique listed heritage hotels, and R&D in construction to small residential extensions, Holly understands the complexity of construction but also where to find opportunities to make projects special and viable. Her love of heritage and big structure comes out in the design of our homes where the difference between new and old is explicitly celebrated.
